Welcome to Orange Film Academy and Research Centre. Creating a story by stitching together video footages, music and sounds is the pleasure of a Visual Editor.

Our 6-month Visual Editing course aims to make you a professional Visual Editor.

This film editing course outlines many real-time projects like movie trailers, teasers, promos, Film/Tele serial editing, Ad film composition, Blue/Green Screen production&Color Correction. These skills can help video editors to make a career in the film industry with ease and confidence.

You will be learning software prominent in the industry and understanding import to delivery process- Avid Media Composer, FINAL CUT PRO (FCP) , adobe premiere and Da Vinci Resolve. Once you’ve finished this course you will be able to take your productions to the next level with your new Film Editing skills.

Faculty members- A.V. Narayanan, C.G. Sriguha, Shaan Mohammed (FTII Alumni) andSooraj E S/Steven Bernard/Sreekar Prasad( Industry experts)- are masters built on their experiences in many different fields of Visual Editing .

All of them are award winning Visual Editors.

As an academician, CG Sriguha has taught editing and film making at FTII, Pune; Rai University, Hyderabad; Manipal Group; L V Prasad Film Academy; Ramoji Academy of Film & Television, Hyderabad; SAE Colleges, Chennai. Apart from the Syllabus based classes, we will have Masterclasses by Sreekar Prasad, a leading visual editor of the Indian film industry as a whole. Bollywood’s reputed Film Editor Steven Bernard will deliver both workshops and classes. Other experienced teachers and State-award winning editors are Anas Chennatt, Shaan Rahman and Praveen K.L. Assignments will be there to update your skill set.

The course is conducted as 100% Online, so that you can learn at the comfort of your home. The course material can be accessed for one year that will help you to watch the same lessons multiple times to understand the concept thoroughly.This will help self-paced and flexible kind of learning.

The basic qualification is Plus Two and there is no age limit. On discussions forum, students can ask questions and working together to solve each other’s questions. New batches will start at the beginning of each month.

You will most probably get jobs in Film Editing Projects, Movie Trailer, Promos, Teasers, Film Editing, Tele – Serial Editing, Ad Film Composition, Color Correction.

 History of Editing

Existence of Editing as a concept in our daily life- reading comprehension, writing editing in early days of cinema- -Sound in cinema, Editing the  storytelling art .

The Hollywood school- Griffith/Porter/MeleiesThe soviet school- – Their contribution in the language of Editing Kuleshov, Eisenstein, Pudovkin

Approaches to Editing in Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Godard, Bresson

Editing in films of master film makers-

The basics of Analog/ non- linear Editing- film- preproduction to final filmThe digital basics- from pixel to final image.

Workshop on Digital basics & interoperable modes in nonlinear software’s

Editing devices & techniqueused in different modes of Communication
