Subramanian KV

Subramanian KV, fondly called as Subbu, has already marked his presence in the film industry for Sound Design and Background score. He has already done a number of distinctly recognized Malayalam movies- Adventures Of Omanakuttan, Tharangam, Oru kaatil Oru Paykappal, Iblis, Thottappan, Virus, Marconi Mathai, Run kalyani Run, Bhayamariya Bhrahmai. He has also been associated with reputed director Rajiv Ravi in a number of movies “Annayum Rasoolum”, “Njan Steve Lopez” and “Kammattipadam”. He proved his mettle as a Sound Designer for Documentaries working with ‘That Elephant From the bridge’ (Abhilash Vijayan) , ‘Kumudini’ (Jaya Jose), ‘Villuppattu’ (Jaya Jose) and ‘Flowers and Gemstones’ (Sriram Raja).  He has also done background Score for feature films MANORO ISLAND by Manu, CHURUTINTE GANDHAM.Malayalam feature length directed by Nandajan, Eeda directed by B.Ajithkumar and Idam directed by Jaya jose.

Subbu is an alumnus of FTII Pune where he did a PG diploma in Sound Recording & Sound Design.  One of the strengths of Subbu is the solid base in Carnatic music in which he has got training from the University Of Madras. He has also done a diploma in Sound Engineering from Sound Tech Media, Chennai. During his a decade-long stint in Sound Design and background scoring, he has won Kerala state Television award for Chaver (music direction), UGC award for Kumudini(sound Design) and SFAAF Chile award for Idam (Best sound Design).
