Jayadevan Chakkadath

Jayadevan Chakkadath is a well known sound editor and recordist known for his works in Malayalam films. He has won National Film Award for Best Audiography in 2017 for Kaadu Pookkunna Neram Directed by Dr. Biju and won two Kerala State Film Award for Best Sound Recordist for the same film in 2017.

He studied PG Diploma in Sound Recording and Engineering at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Kolkata in 2007. He was a faculty member at Srishti School or arts, design and technology Bangalore during 2015-2017, with training given for location sound recording, sound design and audio narratives at undergraduate level. He is an alumnus of Cochin University of science and technology in Mechanical Engineering (1998-2002).  

His Kumbalangi Nights(2019), Oru Kuttanadan Blog (2018), Carbon (2018 film) Hey Jude (film)(2017), Mayaanadhi (2017), Sound of Silence (2017 film), chef (2016) are some of the major recent works of Jayadevan. He was the sound designer of the many major TV Shows such as satyameva jayate on Star TV, Splitsville(MTV), Say Shava Shava (2008) for NDTV Imagine.
