31st SGIFF : Submit films to the fest

Thirty first edition of the Singapore International Film Festival’s (SGIFF) call for the entry films will be closing on August 24.  The 31st edition of Singapore International Film Festival will be held from 26 November to 6 December 2020.

SGIFF welcomes Asian films and Southeast Asian Shorts to be part of its Competition section and Official Selection. Early Bird Submission ends on 11 Aug, USD$25 applies for film entries from 12 – 24 Aug

Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) has been a key cultural institution for film appreciation in Singapore. Over the last 30 editions, it has built a strong following of film lovers and filmmakers who are committed to supporting the Festival. The 31st SGIFF returns 26 Nov – 6 Dec 2020.

Some would say a Festival is only as good as the films it screens. With the Call for Entry kicking off, we’re just beginning our search for cinematic gems in 2020. We’re inviting film lovers, filmmakers, production and distribution houses, sales agents, film and cultural institutions working on Asia and Southeast Asia cinema to participate in the Festival by submitting their films, applications and projects for the following programmes:

SOUTHEAST ASIAN FILM LAB 

This year, Head Mentor Shozo Ichiyama and mentors Nandita Solomon and Mai Meksawan will guide emerging filmmakers from Southeast Asia in developing their feature-length screenplays.

YOUTH JURY & CRITICS PROGRAMME

Now accepting young and aspiring film critics up to age of 35, YJCP offers the opportunity of one-to-one mentorship in the art and craft of film criticism, led by internationally renowned author, critic and film programmer Chris Fujiwara. This programme aims to provide introductory skills in film writing and encourage a new generation of film writers.
